Little Cubs Learning Cabin was founded in January of 2021. We started out as a small Licensed In-Home Daycare with big dreams! Our primary goals were to break the traditional Daycare setting. We wanted to be different in a Big Kind of Way!

Childcare is one of the most needed services all across the country and it is something that is lacking greatly. Without good, quality childcare, parents are unable to meet their life goals and primary family needs. Most traditional Daycares are only open from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM or 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday, that's not very convenient for a lot of parents. Some Childcare Centers are open even less hours and days during the week; that makes childcare availability again, extremely difficult.  Not all parents work Monday through Friday from 9-5, which is why our main goal is to eventually offer a 24 hour care facility so parents working any shift or going to school and working can have a safe place for their children to go without the worry of trying to find a sitter or family member that may not be as dependable as they had hoped for. Being a parent in this day and age is hard and we at Little Cubs Learning Cabin get that. In the beginning, our hours will be from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM, that's a 14 hour day Monday through Friday. Saturdays, we will start with 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Once we get settled in, our hours will transition to 24 hours a day Monday through Friday. Saturday care will stop at 11:00 PM due to being closed on Sundays.

Like we said before, being a parent is hard, and to make things harder, children get sick. What do schools anddaycares do when your child is sick? They turn them away, which in all honesty isn't a bad thing because it keeps from other children getting sick. However, what are you supposed to do when you wake up to a sick kiddo and still have to go to work or a very important college class? You try to scramble for a last minute sitter. Not anymore, Little Cubs Learning Cabin plans to open a Wellness Center for the care of sick children so that parents can again, meet their goals. Our wellness center will be located in a different building and ratios will be much smaller. Children with like symptoms or same pediatric diagnosis will be in assigned care rooms. There will be no outside play at this facility. This area of care is meant to focus on the health and well being of each child so that they can get better and return to their normal routine.

Another area we are going to focus on is special needs care. So many families have one or more children with some sort of special need and finding care is already hard enough today. It's even harder for those parents with special needs children. We are going to change that! All children need love, attention, friends, and an education to succeed in life. All parents need to be able to live as normal of a life as possible too. In the near future, Little Cubs Learning Cabin will have a specialty childcare facility with classes that cater to each area in the special needs world with reasonable hours.

We aren't just stopping there though, young school-aged children get out of school before their parents get off work. Children under the age of 13 cannot be sent home to hang out by theirselves until mom or dad gets home anymore. It really wasn't a good idea back then and it was noticed, which is why after school programs started opening up. However, these after school programs are still few and far between. They don't stay open long enough and don't seem to offer proper supervised activities to keep young children busy, safe, and out of trouble. Here again, Little Cubs Learning Cabin has found a solution for that because we not only offer an after school program for school-aged children, but we also offer an early morning before school care option too. Starting at 5:00 AM, we open our doors to school-aged children up to the age of 12. We take care of their breakfast and make sure they have completed all of their school assignments from the prior school day before we send them off to school. After school is over, children will ride the bus back to us if needed. We provide a wholesome and healthy supper to our after school children. We will help them with their homework and offer age appropriate activities until you pick them up.

We still don't think that is enough, so...

Little Cubs Learning Cabin is going to go even further. We have a dedicated annual Private Preschool for 4-year-olds and a Private Kinder Prep class for our 5-year-olds that just aren't ready to take on Kindergarten yet. These classes are held within the public school year. Our Private Preschool and Kinder Prep classes are different from traditional preschools in many ways. For one, our classes are held Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Most Preschool classes are only half days and just a few days a week making it hard for parents and really inconvenient since parents have to find additional care for their preschoolers. This is not the case at Little Cubs Learning Cabin. Our Preschool and Kinder Prep classes are again, held 5 days a week within the normal school day schedule. If parents need before or after school care, they have that offered to them in the most convenient way, here at our Center, which makes life just a little bit easier on both the parents and children.

Umm.. we aren't finished yet! We still aren't stopping there...

Most small towns seem to lack age appropriate activities for young children to attend. Between our awesome little cub clubs, camps, and community events, we think we've pretty much covered this area as well! But... Keep a lookout for our Little Cubs Club House in the future! Excited! We are too!!

Oh, did we mention our plans to open our very own Private Primary School??? Like we said before, we have some big plans for the parents and little cubs in our community and we can't wait to see what the future holds!

To learn more about all of our current and future services, feel free to search our website! We are so excited to be apart of the new way of childcare and plan to continue to learn and grow so we can continue to better serve today's parents!
