Little Cubs Learning Cabin hosts several community events throughout the year. Our calendar will be updated every January to show the dates of each event.
Community Events
Little Cubs Learning Cabin Annual Dr. Seuss Green Eggs & Ham Breakfast, Costume Contest, Read-a-Thon, and Book Fest
Every 1st Saturday in March, come dressed as your favorite Dr. Seuss character and enjoy a Dr. Seuss Green Eggs & Ham Breakfast. We will have a costume contest, a Read-a-Thon, and a book fest. Drop-In Care will also be available, as well as our Saturday Parent Night Out Care.
Little Cubs Learning Cabin Annual Easter Egg Extravaganza
Each year on the Saturday before Easter, we will host our Annual Easter Egg Extravaganza! Come let the kids enjoy our massive Easter egg hunt and get their photo taken with the Easter Bunny! This event will take place from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Drinks, food and Easter activities will be available. Traditional Saturday Care and both Friday and Saturday Parent Night Out Care will be closed for this weekend.
Little Cubs Learning Cabin Annual Muffins with Mom
Each year on the Saturday before Mother's Day, we will host a Muffins with Mom from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. We will also host a Mother and Me photo shoot during this time. Traditional Saturday Care will be closed for this event. However, we will still host our Saturday Parent's Night Out.
Little Cubs Learning Cabin Annual Cinco De Mayo Salsa Celebration
Each year on the first Saturday in May, we will host our Annual Cinco De Mayo Celebration! Come enjoy some homemade street tacos and Dales World Famous Salsa! This event will be held after our Muffins with Mom from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Traditional Saturday Care will be closed for this event. However, we will still host our Saturday Parent's Night Out.
Little Cubs Learning Cabin Annual Donuts with Dad
Every year on the third Saturday in June, we will host our Annual Donuts with Dad from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. We will also be hosting a Dad and Me photo shoot during this time. Traditional Saturday Care and our Parent's Night Out Care will still be available.
Little Cubs Learning Cabin Annual Ice Cream Social
Each year on the first Saturday in June, we will host our Annual Ice Cream Social! We will have different types of ice cream and snow cone flavors available, as well as hot dogs. We will have bounce houses and water slides for the kids to soak up the sun on. Come enjoy the fun with us at our annual ice cream social! Traditional Saturday Care will be closed for this event. However, we will still host our Parent's Night Out Care Saturday evening.
Little Cubs Learning Cabin Annual Fourth of July BBQ
Every first Saturday in July, we will host our Annual Fourth of July BBQ. We will have a picnic style supper with hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and drinks. Bounce houses will be available to play on until sunset. Once the sun sets, we will have our firework show! This event will start at 7:00 PM. Traditional Saturday Care will be available. Saturday Parent Night Out Care will be canceled for this event.
Little Cubs Learning Cabin Annual Shoe Drive
Every first Saturday in August, we will put out boxes for our Annual clothing and Shoe Drive. These boxes will be out for the entire month of August for you to drop off gently used shoes and clothes. Prior to the new school year, parents start cleaning out closets to prepare for the purchase of new clothes and shoes for the beginning of the new school year. Not all children are lucky enough to get a new wardrobe and so we have decided to start an annual clothing and shoe drive to collect gently used shoes and clothes that children have grown out of so that we can donate them to families in need. Some of these families might be children in our very own community, others might be in our neighboring communities. We will have a donation request form on our website where families in need can reach out to us privately asking for donated shoes and clothes for their children. All remaining clothes and shoes will be taken to the nearest Woman's Shelter.
Little Cubs Learning Cabin Annual Fall Festival
Every 4th Saturday in September, Little Cubs Learning Cabin will host its Annual Fall Festival. This festival will include live music, games, food, auctions, and outside vendors who wish to sell homemade goods, crafts, or products to the community. We will have a vendor sign up sheet posted on our website in August to prepare for the setup of our Annual Fall Festival. If you are a vendor and would like to purchase a spot at our facility to offer your goods to the community, please contact the Director for additional details. Our Center will be closed for traditional child care during our Fall Festival. However, Saturday Parent Night out care will be available. Our Fall Festival hours will be from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Little Cubs Learning Cabin Annual Trunk or Treat Fest
The last Saturday in October each year, Little Cubs Learning Cabin will host it's Annual Trunk or Treat Fest. Starting at 6:30 PM and ending at 9:30 PM, we will have a kid friendly haunted house and trick or treating setup. Games, and other Halloween fun can be found at Little Cubs Learning Cabin for the youngest of trick or treaters. Traditional Saturday Care will be available, however, Parent Night Out Care will be canceled for this event.
Little Cubs Learning Cabin Annual Thanksgiving Feast Fest
The month of November is all about giving! During the month of November, we will be collecting nonperishable foods to donate to local families in need. Our annual Giving Thanks Campaign will take place this month as well.
We will also host a Thanksgiving Feast for the community on the 3rd Saturday in November in appreciation for helping us help local families in our community. During our feast, we will hold a live community auction, as well as hold a turkey raffle where 5 lucky families will get a chance at winning a turkey for Thanksgiving. This event will start at 6:00 PM. Traditional Saturday Care will still be available. However, Parent Night Out Care will be canceled for this event.
Little Cubs Learning Cabin Annual Wrap Off
Our annual Christmas Wrap Off will be held on the first Saturday in December each year. If you do not know how to wrap, don't have the time, or you've just got too many presents to wrap on your own, bring your presents down for our elves to wrap for you! We will also be hosting our annual Winter photo shoot so come get your family Christmas pictures while our elves are busy wrapping. Cookies and other sweet treats will be at your fingertips and drop-in care will be available for you to go and get some Christmas shopping done. Parent Night Out Care will also be available Saturday evening.
Little Cubs Learning Cabin Annual Festival of Trees Decorating Contest and Auction
Each year on the second Saturday in December, we will host a tree decorating contest and live auction. Pictures with Santa will be from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Our tree decorating contest and live auction will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Traditional Saturday Care will be canceled for this event. However, we will still host our Parent Night Out Care.
Little Cubs Learning Cabin Annual Winter Wonderland Carnival
Each year on the third Saturday in December, we will host our annual Winter Wonderland Carnival! Santa will also be here for a Santa and Me photo shoot! Our Winter Wonderland Carnival will consist of bounce houses, games, Live Christmas Music, and we will end the night with Hot Chocolate and a Christmas Movie under the stars. This event will start at 6:00 PM. Traditional Saturday Care will be available. However, our Parent Night Out Care will be canceled for this event.

Community Photo Shoots
Pictures with the Easter Bunny
On the Saturday before Easter, we will host an Easter Breakfast and have a photo shoot with the Easter Bunny. This will take place the same day we do our Annual Easter Egg Extravaganza!
Spring Pictures
On the last Saturday in March, we will host a Spring Photo Shoot. Times will be listed at the beginning of March each year.
Fall Pictures
On the last Saturday in September, we will host a Fall Photo Shoot. Times will be listed at the beginning of September each year.
Winter Pictures
On the first Saturday in December, we will host a Winter Photo Shoot. These will be Christmas themed but will not be Santa pictures. Times will be listed before the end of November.
Pictures with Santa
On the second and third Saturday in December, we will host a Santa Photo Shoot. Times will be listed before the end of November.
Classroom Annual Parties
These parties are held for the students of Little Cubs Learning Cabin during care hours. Each year, the dates will differ. However, a flyer for each party will be sent out to parents a week before the party's scheduled day. Parents can bring goody bags, sweet treats, or candy for the children for any of these parties. As always, we will have birthday parties throughout the year for each child. Any outside food brought into the Center must be store bought.
Valentine's Day Party
If Valentine's Day falls on a week day, we will celebrate on the actual Valentine's Day holiday. If it falls on a weekend day, we will host our party the Friday before. Children can bring Valentine cards to give out to their friends. Parents can send Valentine's gifts. We will have sweet treats and a full day of Valentine's themed activities.
St. Patrick's Day Party
If St. Patrick's Day falls on a week day, we will celebrate on the actual St. Patrick's Day holiday. If however, it falls on a weekend, we will celebrate the Friday before. Green is the color of the day as always. We will host a party with sweet treats and learn all about St. Patrick's Day. Parents may bring goody bags, themed sweet treats, or candy for their child's class.
Easter Party
We will be closed for both Good Friday and the Easter weekend. However, we will hold our Easter party the Thursday before. Children will get to have an Easter egg hunt with their class, enjoy an Easter themed party and indulge in themed sweet treats. Children will need to bring their Easter baskets to school this day. Parents may also bring themed sweet treats for their child's class if they wish.
Cinco De Mayo Party
If Cinco De Mayo falls on a weekday, we will have our party on the actual holiday. If it falls on a weekend, we will celebrate this holiday in class on the Friday before. We will enjoy a Mexican themed lunch and celebration.
Fourth of July Party
Our Fourth of July Party will be held on the Friday before the weekend celebration. We will have a themed party and sweet treats. Early release will also take place.
Halloween Party
Our Halloween party will be celebrated on the actual holiday or the Friday before if it falls on a weekend day. Children can dress up in their Halloween costumes and enjoy a Halloween themed day, party and mini trick or treat at the Center. Parents are welcome to bring candy, sweet treats, or goody bags for this party.
Thanksgiving Party
Our Thanksgiving feast will be celebrated on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving each year. We will learn all about the tradition of Thanksgiving and why we celebrate it, as well as enjoy a large feast of our own.
Christmas Party
Our Christmas party will be held on December 23rd every year. We will learn about what the true meaning of Christmas is all about. We will enjoy sweet treats and a Christmas party with a visit from Santa. We will also enjoy time around our Christmas tree opening presents. Each child will receive a present from Little Cubs Learning Cabin. If parents would like to bring snacks, sweet treats, or goody bags, they may do so.
